Bala Ramamurthy
As CEO and Co-Founder of Critical Loop, Bala brings over a decade of leadership in aerospace innovation. Previously, Bala served as a key leader at SpaceX, where he led the development of the human-rated Falcon 9 rocket, playing a pivotal role in the United States' return to human spaceflight. With extensive experience in engineering, operations, and safety, Bala led critical tests and the development of new hardware and software, ensuring the highest standards for crewed space missions.
Bala's deep expertise in engineering technology, governing relationships, and commitment to advancing the future of energy are central to the vision and growth of Critical Loop.

Andrew Grinalds
Andrew is an experienced finance professional with a proven track record of building innovative financial products for some of the world’s leading companies, including Uber, Airbnb, Privateer, and Lloyd’s. Andrew started his career on the deal team at Andreessen Horowitz, where he contributed to strategic investments and supported the growth of high-impact ventures.
With expertise spanning venture capital, financial engineering, operations research, and strategic partnerships, Andrew brings a unique blend of technical acumen and market insight to drive business growth and innovation.

Lydia Maher
As CTO and Co-Founder of Critical Loop, Lydia brings deep expertise in data science, climate technology, and enterprise software. Prior to founding Critical Loop, she led high-impact initiatives at Palantir, overseeing large-scale software deployments that transformed operations for global enterprises through data and technology. Lydia has also served as an Entrepreneur-In-Residence at Deep Science Ventures, spearheading research and venture creation in natural catastrophe adaptation.
With a background in bioinformatics from Cancer Research UK, she applies an evidence-based, analytical mindset to solving complex challenges at the intersection of climate and technology.

Chip Leigh
Chip is an expert in civil and electrical engineering, and permitting, with extensive experience in deploying large-scale infrastructure projects. Chip has successfully deployed over 6GW of EV charging infrastructure, including behind-the-meter energy storage solutions, for leading companies like Tesla and Rivian.
Chip combines technical expertise with a deep understanding of regulatory requirements to drive the successful implementation of cutting-edge energy solutions.

Dante Sblendorio, PhD
Dante is a software expert specializing in control systems, AI and machine learning. He has optimized model inference times for edge-device and cloud-based target hardware (CPUs, GPUs, TPUs) using open-source machine learning compilers.
He has applied his experimental physics background to fields such as hydrogen catalysts, radioactive materials, and electromagnetic compatibility testing at Underwriter Labs (UL), leveraging advanced scientific techniques to drive innovation.

Nanna Saito Nielsen
Nanna is a seasoned operations leader with a proven track record across fintech, banking, and startups. She previously led global operations at fintech unicorn GoCardless, where her teams oversaw banking infrastructure, customer experience, compliance, and payments—managing more than $52 billion in transactions for over 93,000 businesses worldwide.
She also served as COO of a Los Angeles–based drone startup, and her experience includes leadership roles in Commercial Banking at Lloyds Banking Group. Nanna holds an MBA from the University of Cambridge.
At Critical Loop, she brings operational rigor and experience building high-performing teams to drive scalable, sustainable growth.

Cody Thornton
With multiple years of experience in the renewable energy sector, including roles at ChargePoint, Rivian, and MN8 Energy (formerly Goldman Sachs Renewable Power Group), Cody has built and led high-impact teams across site development, infrastructure planning, sales, and deployment. He brings deep expertise in delivering complex infrastructure projects across North America, with a focus on program execution, cross-functional coordination, and stakeholder management.
His background includes managing multidisciplinary teams and aligning technical, commercial, and operational workstreams to drive results in fast-paced, mission-driven environments. Cody brings a sharp execution mindset, a systems-level perspective, and a deep commitment to accelerating the clean energy transition.

Paul Stith
Paul leads development at Critical Loop, bringing experience building markets and partnerships across electrification, energy systems, and infrastructure. He bridges strategy and execution through engagement with customers, utilities, policymakers, financiers, standards development, and technology to enable sustainable growth.
His portfolio spans energy storage, microgrids, vehicle-to-grid integration, and charging infrastructure for fleets, transit, marine, and aviation. This draws on early work at EV Grid and nearly a decade leading transportation electrification initiatives at Black & Veatch.
Paul founded PROJECT Green OnRamp and serves as an industry advisor and board member.

Peter Bauman
Peter is an expert in energy infrastructure and solution-based sales, serving as Director of Business Development at Critical Loop, where he leads sales strategy and partnerships for BESS, microgrids, and DER across utility and commercial markets. His work aligns closely with facility management and services, emphasizing compliance and safety.
Peter brings deep experience from leadership roles at Aggreko and Videndum, driving growth, go-to-market strategy, and electrical solutions across U.S. and Americas markets. With a career rooted in complex, solution-based selling, Peter brings a practical, results-driven approach to advancing resilient and sustainable energy infrastructure.
